Robert Hussey Obituary

ROBERT K. HUSSEY Robert Kananiokalanakila Hussey, 74, of Moanalua Valley, Oahu died March 27, 2024. He was born in Hoolehua, Molokai, one of three children of Benjamin Amina Jr and Rachel Leinani Gonsalves Hussey. He graduated from Molokai High School, class of 1967. He then served in the U.S. Army and was a proud Vietnam War Veteran. He retired after 25 years with the City and County of Honolulu where he worked for the Wastewater Management Division. Lanakila is survived by wife Petroline-Ann Kauionapua (Kekaula) Hussey; daughters Rochelle Piilani Hussey Kaaloa (Moku) and Lahela Rachelle Hussey Lung (Matthew); grand- children Kauionapua Lung, Keliinamoku Kaaloa, Kamele Lung, Kaimipono Kaaloa, and Kealohi Lung; brother Benjamin Amina Hussey III (Trixie) and his nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary (2233 Nuuanu Avenue) on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Visitation 10:00am; service at 11:00am. Burial to follow. Remember Lanakila well growing up on Molokai. He was my brother's classmate and I graduated one year after him in 68'. We always called him Lanakila, never Robert. Good memories of growing up on Molokai. A hui hou, Kila.
