ROBERT KELSEY Robert Kelsey born May 31, 1940 in Batavia, New York lived in Phoenix, Hollywood, Boston New Hampshire and Honolulu, before settling in Lahaina for over 20 years before returning to Honolulu with his wife, Donna. His career spanned a wide range from artist, art gallery owner of the Kelsey Gallery, newspaper columnist to newspaper owner/publisher of The Lahaina News and The Lahaina Sun. On Maui, he was even a local television talkshow host on the The Bob Kelsey Show. He went to be with our Lord on November 29 which was one day before his 51st wedding anniversary. Besides loving life, he was a great supporter of The Salvation Army serving as Chairman of The Salvation Army Advisory Board in Lahaina for many years. He was a Soldier of The Salvation Army and official Home League member at the Kauluwela Mission Corps since 2019. Even though Robert suffered with Tinnitus, COPD, and other health issues, that didn't stop him from helping others. Over the years, he was an outspoken voice for those who needed help. Robert is survived by his wife Donna, a retired Professional Registered Nurse at Kaiser and The Salvation Army ADHS, who used her nursing skills to care for him. He will be missed by the many friends he met along the way. Private services are pending.
