Robert Wong Obituary

ROBERT YORK HING WONG, POPS Robert York Hing Wong, AKA "Uncle Bob" and "Pops," peacefully passed away at the age of 90 in his home in Kaimuki on October 8th, 2023. Robert served his country in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank A/3C before honorable discharge. Following his military service, he joined the Electrician's Union as a warehouse foreman until retirement. Still full of life, he joined Honolulu C&C where he enjoyed many years in Parks and Recreations. He was a man of quiet strength and unwavering integrity. His kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on the hearts of his family, friends, and community. He was a loving partner, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He crated many lasting memories of laughter, love, and companionship. A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Robert's life on the morning of June 7, 2024, in Nanakuli. Robert requested for his ashes to be scattered in the ocean along with his late wife, Patricia A. Wong. Robert York Hing Wong will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
