ROBERTA I. PHILLIPS-SPENCER Roberta "Bobbie" I. Phillips-Spencer began her journey with the Lord on June 7th, 2023. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 21st, 1944, in Honolulu. BOBBIE, as she was known by her family and friends, was affectionately called TUTU by her grand and great grandkids. She was steadfast in her faith, became involved in various parish activities, teamed up to present marriage encounter weekends for married couples. Her strong family values helped strengthen the bonds with each other, often referring to her kids as all of her shining stars. Upon raising her family, she continued her higher learning education. She worked in community outreach programs with families having life challenges, assisting college students in the classroom, and sharing her life experiences. She had an impact on the many people that she met, and former students would come up to her, thanking her for the support she gave them. The same can be said for the families she worked with in the outreach programs. Her passion was to help create, for the young ones, a stable platform to learn by. Her motto to all was: "TEACH PEACE FOR A BETTER WORLD". She enjoyed the outdoors and she was adventurous. Her favorite place that she would frequent was Koke'e, Kauai, where she loved to hike the various trails. She was even adventurous enough to camp in Kalala'au Valley. She loved her plants; she built quite a collection from her ventures. For those who were touched by her presence they are the are fortunate. Bobbie leaves behind her husband of 58 yrs. Timothy J.; her sons: Timothy T. (Tracy), Bradley (Lisa), Lyle (Renee), and daughter Amanda (Thayne); 8 grandchildren: Nanea, Warren, Brandie, Jordan, Shaughn, Thayne, Joshua and Stanton, along with 5 great grandchildren with 3 more on the way. Celebration of Life services are scheduled for September 1st, 2023, at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel. Family Visitation: 5:30 p.m.; Public Visitation: 6:00 p.m.; Services to follow.
