Vicki, I just read this today. My condolences to the entire family. He was like a brother to me. The last time we talked, you told me he wasn't doing well. This saddens me.

Dear Vicki,
Was it last year or previous years, I tried to call you both (Rodney and Vicki) but the phone number I had from 2015 when I retired from Waiokeola Church did not work. I was saddened when I read his obituary in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser last month. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I remember one Thanksgiving when our family had dinner at the Hawaii Prince and saw you both with your family. Your thoughtfulness (both you and Rodney) and your generosity to me will never be forgotten. Rodney gave me a book, "The Greatest Miracle in the World" by Og Mandino and it really is true! On a different note, I finally published my book, "Finding Aloha in Grief: Memoir of an American Pastor, Chaplain and T'ai-Chi Sifu." I have a copy for you. Please contact me at Waipahu UCC where I am serving as the interim pastor: (808) 677-3317.

May the fond memories of your beloved husband comfort you in this time of great sadness.
This is Henri Kikuta. My daughter, Lynley was classmates with Sandra at Waiokeola. I remember enjoying our social exchange.
