Coach Honda was my position coach at Radford. He was a positive influence on his players, and encouraged us to set our sights high. He was the first person to tell me, a skinny offensive lineman, that one day I would play "big time" college football. He formed the powerlifting team and was one of our coaches, and made me a state champion. powerlifter (I still have the trophy). I would not be who I am today without his influence in my life, when I could have gone the other way. He kept in touch with his players over the years and joined us for a reunion at Cocos house. He will be missed by all of his Radford Ohana.
