Ronald Nakai Obituary

RONALD MAKOTO NAKAI Ronald Makoto Nakai, age 79, passed peacefully at home on July 17, 2023. He was born and grew up in McCully, graduated from McKinley HS in 1962. He served in the US Army, after his discharge worked 45 years for the family business, M. Nakai Repair Service. He was a frequent flyer to LV for the last 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, spending time with family and friends, and caring for several feral cat colonies in east Oahu for many years. He is predeceased by his parents Masao and Ellen Nakai; brother Earl "Masa" Nakai. Survived by wife Sherry; son Reid M.; daughter Marci (Moohwan Lee); sisters: Jane Torii, Frances Suzuki, Karen Kitazaki. A Celebration of Life has been held. An inurnment at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl will held at a later date. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
