Roy Caracol Obituary

ROY CARACOL Roy Caracol, 69, of Aiea, Hawaii, passed away on August 4, 2024 at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu, surrounded by his family. Born on November 4, 1954, Roy grew up in Aiea, a proud alumnus of Aiea High School, class of 1972. He was an exceptional auto body-and-fender repairman, a talented musician who played the guitar, and a creative entrepreneur who founded Makahiapo Designs, crafting custom lamps. While Roy held many titles in his life, his favorite role was as a devoted family man. His family was his pride and joy, and Papa Roy will always be remembered for his endearing family values, faithful presence and unconditional love. His loving spirit is carried on by his wife, Michele; their children, Benjamin Luna (Nicole), Azure Lwin-Maluo (Hoku'ala), Jantzen Caracol and Ricci Caracol; their grandchildren, Abigail Beair, Joshua Lwin-Maluo, Royce Caracol, Aria Caracol and Ronen Caracol; his mother, Victoria Caracol; siblings Theodulfo Caracol, Jr., Debra Person, Guinevere Louie, Richard Caracol and Ariadne Ernestberg; along with many nephews, nieces, family and friends. To honor Roy's memory, a Celebration of Life will be held at Central Union Church, Atherton Chapel on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11:00 am.
