ROY NOBUO HIGA 98, of Kailua, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. Born in Waipahu, Hawai'i. Retired Superintendent of Parks Maintenance, County of Hawai'i Department of Parks & Recreation. Survived by sons Michael (Catherine) Higa and Robin (Joey) Higa; daughter Sharon Espiritu; daughter-in-law Monica Higa; brother Stanley (Christine) Higa; grandchildren Frances, Audrey, Sydney, Haley, Kennedi, Kase, Lahela, Lehua, and Andrew; great-grandchildren Emmy, Jace, Kaelin, Xochi, Rowan, Kaipo, Logan, and Rhyder; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by wife Jean Higa; sons Wendell and William Higa; parents Shingo and Ushi Higa; and siblings Henry (Dee) Higa; Doris (Teruo) Tokuda; Edith (Tokujiro) Nakasone; Barbara (Ted) Miyasato; Sarah (Arthur) Williams; Katherine (Richard) Arimoto; George (Irene) Higa; and Florence (Donald) Sakamoto. Visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary, Service begins at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
