Ruth Alves Obituary

RUTH NOBRIGA ALVES With deep gratitude and aloha for her life, we announce the passing of Ruth Nobriga Alves, born in Honolulu on September 7, 1924, who peacefully went home to be with her beloved husband and son on January 22, 2026. Ruth carried herself with grace and dignity, always taking pride in how she presented herself. She had a vibrant spirit and never missed an opportunity to celebrate with family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Henry Alves, and her son, Wayne Alves. Her legacy lives on through her daughters, Donna (Bryan) Nakasone and Judy (Darrell) Santos; her four grandchildren, Heather, Ryon (Jenai), Jason (Jada), and Cade (Desiree); and her seven great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating her life on February 23, 2026, at St. John Vianney Church in Kailua. Visitation begins at 9:45 a.m. With Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m.
