Sandra Branyon Obituary

SANDRA D. BRANYON Dr. Sandra D. Branyon, PhD. was born May 28, 1952, in Winter Haven Florida. She passed away at her home in Pahoa, Hawaii, on October 30, 2023. Sandra's travels as a military child took her to many exotic places. She was an accomplished horsewoman, winning 1st place for barrel racing as a teen while living in Puerto Rico. Sandra received her PhD in Psychology at the University of Florida, Gainesville in 1984. She then moved to Hawaii which became her permanent home. She used her degree to work in the school system and with the state, helping many families and children. She loved Hawaii and Hawaiian culture. She loved art, a good book and took joy in sending and receiving beautiful handwritten cards with her pen pals. Sandra is survived by her hanai son, Dylan Clay, and her very dear friend Jelena Clay, Dylan's Mom. Sandra was predeceased by her father Robert Lee Davidson (US Navy Veteran), her mother Allison G. Davidson, and her brother Robert Lee Davidson Jr. Sandra's final resting place will be with her family at Lakeside Memorial Park, Winter Haven, Florida.
