Seung Yuen Obituary

SEUNG HEE YUEN Seung Hee "Watson" Yuen, 93, peacefully passed away at his home in Kailua surrounded by his loving family on July 31, 2024. He was born in Hilo, the youngest of 10 children of To Pui and Shun Chen Yuen. Seung Hee graduated from Roosevelt High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Civil Engineering. He was a Captain in the Air Force, with assignments in Tokyo, Japan and McChord Air Force Base, Tacoma, Washington. After serving for more than five years he received an honorable discharge and returned to Honolulu where he worked at, and retired from Hawaiian Telephone Company. He is survived by his wife, Kathy "Reiko", sons, Michael (Jaimie), Peter (Wendy), Andrew, Patrick (Kimi), and daughter, Christine Ong (Brad), grandchildren Lindsey Yuen, Colin Ong, Nicholas (Isabelle) Yuen, Carter Ong, Mari Yuen and Troy Yuen, two great-grandchildren, Kenzo and Reina Yuen, and many nieces and nephews. Private services were held.
