SHANON HOPEAU Obituary

SHANON HANALEI HOPEAU KUSH Shanon Hanalei Hopeau, 53, of Kapolei, HI gained his angel wings and entered into the presence of the Lord on February 14, 2024. Born June 26, 1970 in Honolulu, HI to Maxwell and Linda Hopeau who resided in Waianae with sisters Lisa and Angel Hopeau. He graduated from Waianae High School in 1988. Shanon worked for the City and County of Honolulu for 27 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He went on to work as a Plumber for the Department of Defense. Shanon married Sheryl Arevalo. Together they had 5 children, Shanon (son, who passed away at birth), Shandy (daughter), Sydney (daughter, who passed away at birth). Shandon (son), Shelby (daughter), and Sianna-Lei (grandaughter). When Shanon was not working, you would find him at home, watching his kids play soccer, or having a few beers with family and friends. Shanon was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is the true definition of a "Humble Hawaiian". He will truly be missed and will forever be remembered for his hard work, generosity, his love for everyone, and as the protector of his family. Services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Borthwick Mortuary at 4PM for public viewing. Service will begin at 6PM. Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Waikomo Beach Park at 12PM to include the scattering of ashes. Celebration to follow at Nanakuli Ranch.
