ALOHA e Ka `Ohana o Sharen Asing Kaiwi,
How I cherish memories of being "besties" since 7th grade! Add Sue Kapuniai Kahiapo to the mix and we became like the "3 musketeers!"
I loved all of the Uluhaku Street sleepovers, parties, riding bike in the neighborhood. We got to be on the Pep Squad together, be ROTC sponsors, and sing together in the same Concert Glee alto section. We got to sing, laugh, cry, and "just be."
I am truly grateful for this time that we shared together. Miss her and so many of our other amazing `71 classmates who are no longer with us.
Her `ohana - children and grandchildren are her amazing legacy. THANK YOU to all of you who enriched Sharen's life in so many ways.
I am sorry to miss her celebration of life, as I will be heading out on a trip. Know that whenever Aunty Sue and I are together, we always give a toast to our Sharen. Love you all!
With ALL OUR ALOHA,
Aunty Max Fujimoto Nu`uhiwa & Uncle Hanson

Rode the summer school bus from Castle Hospital location up to school in 1967 or 68. Flaming red hair. Crush until graduation in 1970. Her father and my dad worked at Hawaiian Tel for a little while.

I was very saddened to Hear about Sharon. I immediately was reminded about when we were growing up in the 60's and early 70's and how close I was with all of the Asings. God Bless you all.
