Sonny Iwamoto Obituary

SONNY MITSUGI IWAMOTO 82, second son of the late Florence and Robert Iwamoto, Sr., founders of Robert's Hawaii, was born in Lihue on July 9, 1941 and passed away peacefully October 1, 2023. He was retired from Robert's Hawaii, Sonny's Tours and SI Hawaii Planners on Oahu. He is survived by his seven children, Lisa Yasuda (Kenneth) and Terri Wong (Eric) of Sacramento, Randy Iwamoto of Honolulu, Shelley McKinney (Steven) of San Diego, and their mother Madeline Iwamoto of Honolulu, Nicole Iwamoto of Honolulu, Tiffany and Nicholas Iwamoto of Hilo and their mother Kitty Iwamoto of Hilo, 11 grandchildren & 4 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Robert Iwamoto, Jr., sisters Arleen Contrades and Linda Uohara, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Allan Iwamoto. Private services pending.

Sonny and the Iwamoto Family were very good to me while living on Oahu and I will miss my good friend. May Lord whisk you away to your final reward. Rest in Peace and my condolences to Kitty and the entire Iwamoto Family.
