Stanley Furukawa Obituary

STANLEY FURUKAWA Lt. Colonel (Ret.), USAF, a resident of Honolulu, passed away at the age of 93 on September 28, 2025, in Honolulu. He was born on Hawaii Island, the youngest of eight children of Tomojiro and Haruno Furukawa. Stanley dedicated his life to public service and family. He proudly served for 21 years in the United States Air Force, with assignments here, on the mainland and abroad. Following his military retirement, he continued his public service for nearly 20 years with the City and County of Honolulu Building Department. Preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Faye. He is survived by his two daughters, Wendy Kakaio (Derick) and Joy Furukawa, as well as many extended family members. A memorial service will be held at Hosoi Garden Mortuary on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Visitation will start at 4:00 pm, followed by the service at 5:00 pm.
