SUZANNE MATSUMOTO Obituary

SUZANNE W.S. MATSUMOTO SUZANNE WHA SOON MATSUMOTO, 82, of Lawai valley, Kauai, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was born on January 24, 1943 in Waimea, Kauai, to her parents, Grace and Samuel Ahn. Suzanne worked for decades as an appliance sales associate at Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Lihue, before happily retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Grace Ahn, her younger brother, Rodney Ahn, and grandson Trevor Miller. She is survived by her husband, Richard Matsumoto; her son, Scott (Jo Ann) Miller; her siblings, Lorna Muraoka, Nolan (Jennie) Ahn, and Maxine (Darick) Akita; granddaughters, Lei Arai and Nicole Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kekaha Ward. 4587 Amakihi Rd.
