SYLVIA LEWIS Obituary

SYLVIA ANN LEWIS Sylvia Lewis, aged 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Hawaii Kai with family and friends by her side on April 6, 2023. She was born to parents Charles Jenkins Rousseau and Angela Azevedo on February 22, 1936 at Queens Hospital in Honolulu. Sylvia spent her first 18 years at 724 7th Avenue in Kaimuki and graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy. She graduated from Loretto Heights College in Denver, CO in 1958 with a degree in nursing. Sylvia later earned a Masters Degree in Nursing Administration from San Jose State University in 1974. She spent nearly 40 years working in nursing. Sylvia returned to Hawaii in 1980 marrying Robert Lewis and spent the last 43 years in Hawaii Kai. She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda, first husband Frank Foster, second husband Bob Lewis, and daughter Sandy. Sylvia is survived by her daughter Shareen Young (Richard), son Steve Foster (Jill), and grand- children Kirsten Foster (Ryan), Matthew Foster, Loryn and Layne Hall, and James Young.

Have missed you since we moved from HI back to the mainland. Always good receiving your Art Christmas cards. You and Bob were good to John, Adrienne and I as your across the street neighbors. John passed away December 20, 2023. My condolences to your family and friends. Gayle George. You have your angel wings now and so blessed.
