Ted Yoshizaki Obituary

IN LOVING MEMORY OF TED (THEODORE) TOORU YOSHIZAKI It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ted on March 8, 2023. He departed this world surrounded by loved ones. Ted is survived by his wife Jean Yoshizaki; children Sharene (Eric) Chun and Trisha Yoshizaki; grandchildren Ethan and Evan; and brothers Harold Yoshizaki and Reginald Yoshizaki. Born on July 25, 1932, Ted was a beloved Grandfather, Father, Husband and friend. Ted was softspoken but always ready to lend an ear, he loved his family with all his heart and always put them ahead of himself. Ted loved the company of others and would happily have a conversation with anyone who wondered by. He carried with him the spirit of Hawaii's emphasis on caring and providing for the next generation. Ted's best years of retirement came when his grandchildren were born. He enjoyed taking care of them and watching them while their parents were at work. He'd always make the spam musubi's just how they liked it. After they started school, he would happily pick them up and watch them all the way until their parents came home. Ted worked hard in his career as an accountant for Raytheon, he also served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Ted will be deeply missed by his family members, who find solace in the memories they shared together. A Celebration of Ted's life will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Visitation: 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Service: 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Main Chapel Lunch to follow Burial: 2:00 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery
