TEHANI ALEXA HI'ILEI KEALOHA It is with much aloha and sadness that we announce the passing of Tehani Alexa Hi'ilei Kealoha, 17, on May 13, 2023, at The Queen's Medical Center West O'ahu in 'Ewa Beach. Tehani was born October 13, 2005, in Honolulu to Walter and Jamie (Nobrega) Kealoha. She grew up in the Salt Lake area and later moved to 'Ewa. Tehani graduated with academic and valedictorian honors from Moanalua High School in 2023, where she was a 4-year member of the varsity swim team, earning scholar-athlete and most inspirational female awards. She also played the bassoon in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and was a member of the Spanish and Polynesian Dance Clubs. Outside of school, Tehani swam for the Kamehameha Swim Club for 9 years. She was accepted to George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon, where she planned to swim collegiately and pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. She loved surfing, hiking, dancing, singing, and reading. Tehani was predeceased by grandfathers Walter K. Kealoha and Nelson Moku Jr., and grandmother Florence Kealoha. She is survived by her parents; twin brother Dustin Kealoha; sisters: C'ari Green-Matutino (Josh), Tiare Nobrega (Ka'ehu Hironaka), C'mare Faatea (Joe), C'ani Kealoha, and Ka'a Lau; brother Dayton Kealoha (Briana Salanoa); grandmother Marilyn Moku; grandfather James Nobrega; nieces and nephews; aunties and uncles; cousins; teammates and friends. A Memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at The Kamehameha Schools Bishop Memorial Chapel, 1887 Makuakane Street, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, Visitation: 9:30 a.m.; Service: 10:30 a.m. Tehani's ashes will be scattered in the ocean privately with family at a later date.
