Thomas Gurrobat Obituary

THOMAS TATA GIANAN GURROBAT, JR. 76 of Kalaoa, Kona, Hawaii, died November 15, 2023, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu on July 11, 1947, he was a U.S. Army Airborne Ranger/LRRP, who served in Vietnam. He was a golf attendant at the Hualalai Resort; also worked as a limo driver and bartender at the former Ritz Carlton, and a bellman at the old and new Halekulani Hotel. He is survived by his wife, Mona Ewing Gurrobat of Kalaoa, Kona; son Sheldon (Cindy) Gurrobat; daughter, Trina (Dan) Gurrobat-Serrao, all of Las Vegas, Nevada.; stepdaughters, Bri Gamiao of Mililani, Alena Gamiao of Kailua Kona; granddaughter, Maiya Larue-Gurrobat of Florida; brothers: Peping, Raymond, and Tyrone, all of Honolulu; sister, Angie (Donald) Haramoto of Maui; hanai grandson, Kamoku Garber of Kalaoa, Kona; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
