Tom Shipman Obituary

TOM ADRIAN SHIPMAN Born in Honolulu in October 1958, Tom first attended St. Anthony School in Kailua. As an elementary boy in attendance, he was particularly known by the nuns to be charming. He excelled as an all-star athlete in baseball and loved the ocean, particularly boating. He graduated from Punahou School in 1977, where his social acumen was highly regarded. Needless to say, he liked to have a good time. Tom spent decades in the construction industry, working hard with a focus on integrity, and giving much more than expected. He had a big heart and acted on it with vigor. He will be missed as an oldest son, a brother, a father, and a friend. He is survived by his mother Annette, siblings Kathy, Jim, and Patrick, and his children Zac and Aubree. Service will be held at St. Anthony Church in Kailua on September 6 at 10 am.
