VANNETTA KAPUAOULULANI PUA TANAKA Vannetta Kapuaoululani "Pua" Tanaka joined her parents William Fischer and Maragaret Ululani Foster, in Heaven on July 1, 2024. Vannetta was born in Honolulu, on March 21, 1965. She attended Pearl City Highlands Elementary School, Maile Elementary School, and Nanakuli Intermediate School. Vannetta graduated from Waianae High school, in 1983, where she was on the Girls Bowling team. Pua started her working life at McDonald's of Nanakuli. Pua was happy to join her mother as a airplane cleaner at Northwest Airlines till her mother retired. Pua went on to become a professional driver with Island Express. Pus became a private car driver with Platinum Limousine Service and Executive USA Chauffeur Services. Pua's claim to fame is being on a news clip as the driver for Iam Tongi on his return to Kahuku. Vannetta is survived by her husband of 33 years. Terence Tanaka. Three children, son Curtis, wife Sharilyn, grandchildren Cameron, Conner, and Collin Tanaka. Daughter, Diana, husband Chris, grandchildren Kianna, Kailia, and Silas Tallada. Son Eric, wide Ashley Tanaka. Pua has four siblings, brother Anthony Villareal, sister Gail Focht, sister Lillian Hanson (deceased), youngest sister Lela, husband Chomer Tamayo. "Celebration of Life" will be held on August 25, 2024, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary, 30 North Kukui St. Visitation 10am to 11am, "Celebration" 11am to 12noon, Refreshments and fellowship 12noon to 2pm.
