VIVIAN SU?A Obituary

VIVIAN MAIALOHA SU'A Vivian Blanche Kalehuamakanoeikapi koonamaunaokaala Maialoha Su'a, 82, of Waipahu, passed away on September 14, 2024. Born in Honolulu, HI on September 25, 1941, she attended Sacred Hearts Academy (Class of 1959). She later graduated from Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colorado. She was a Catholic educator for 40 years at both St. Patrick's and St. Joseph's Schools. In addition to teaching, she was also a librarian and grant writer. She was a member of Ka Lahui Hawai'i, and enjoyed spending time volunteering in Wai'anae. Mom's most treasured gift was her Ohana. Mom is survived by her sister, Evalani Lincoln Nitta (Owen); daughter, Catherine Kaaina (Taylor) and son Frank Su'a (Melanie); hanai daughters, Bridget Agor-Choo and Emily Agor; grandchildren Nicole Kaaina (Alli), Samuel Taylor (Brandee), Kipeni Aldosa (Jessie), Kalani Aldosa (Jamie), Lolena Aldosa and Libby Aldosa (Pono); and great grandchildren Chanel & Tristan Taylor, Baileigh, Brock & Brodie Aldosa-Kalaola and Lawrence Aldosa. She also had numerous God children, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Letane Su'a, son, Timothy Su'a and daughter Marybeth Su'a Aldosa (Leonard). A sincere thank you to Bristol Hospice and our friends and family for all the love and support. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hawai'i Okinawan Center on Monday, November 11. Visitation 10:00 11:00 a.m. Service and lunch to follow. Burial on Tuesday, November 12, at Hawai'i State Veterans Cemetery Kane'ohe. Aloha attire, lei welcome.
