I worked with Wally for a few years at the Waikoloa Village Association, where he managed the pool facility back in 2007. Wally was an absolute joy to work with. He saw the positive in everything; nothing rattled him. I enjoyed hearing about his softball adventures and light-spirited rivalries with the other teams. I remember my shock when I found out he had nearly 30 years on me! He brought the rest of us "youngens" to shame with his energy and youthfulness. Everyone missed him when he left the Association. We lost a good one!
