Patricia Schlesinger Obituary
She was born Patricia Ann Herrington to Charles "Buck" Herrington and Catherine Herrington on March 28, 1946, in Monroe, Louisiana.
Patricia grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia, and attended Saint Francis High School, graduating in 1964. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, dedicating her career to caring for others.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Mel Schlesinger; her son, Jeff Nizlek; her daughter, Julie Lanigan (Patrick), and their daughter Riley; her brother, Gary Herrington (Colleen), and their two sons Adam and Nathan; her sister Cathy Drzal (Jeremy), and Cathy's son, Ben Kercheval. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Herrington, who is survived by her two children, Matthew Mohler and Katie Cross.

Pat and Mel gave me the opportunity to sell their home in Winston Salem, starting a relationship that showed her wit, intellect, love of adventure and ultimately her hospitality. She offered to share her knowledge of their then winter home in Mazatlan Mexico and all it had to offer. I will be forever grateful for the experience of knowing her. My deepest condolences to Mel and all who knew her.
