Paula English Obituary
Paula Griffin English, 73, of Metropolis, formerly of New Orleans, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Massac Memorial Hospital.
A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
Paula was a retired nurse and enjoyed crochet and reading. She was an avid LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints fan.
Paula is survived by her husband, Michael English of Metropolis; daughter, Ashley Kewley Brooks (Jeremy) of Paducah; stepdaughters, Kacey Willis (Jed) and Ashley Bowman (Brandon) all of Metropolis; stepsons, Nathan English of Metropolis, Billy English of Paducah and Michael English of Metropolis; several grandchildren; brother, Paul "Jack" Griffin III (Linda) of New Orleans; and nephew, Paul "Jack" Griffin IV (Amanda) of New Orleans.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul "Jack" Griffin II and Billie Ruth (Beckett) Griffin.
Memorial contributions may be given in Paula's name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or your local animal shelter.
