Gloria Lois Cole

December 4,1928 - February 9th 2026

Gloria Lois Cole drifted off peacefully Feb 9th 2026 in Longwood Fl. The daughter of Casper and Mary Collier, She was born at home December, 4th 1928. She was third in line of 4 sisters. In birth order Gladys, Helene and Doris. They grew up on a farm in Germantown New York and enjoyed time together doing hard work picking the apples, grapes and strawberries that they grew as a family. The stories she told were always filled with fond memories. She graduated Valedictorian in her class and went on to work in New York City for a large Law firm (in her stories she ran the place).

In 1953 she was set up on a reluctant blind date where she meet the love of her life, Vaughn Cole. That date would change her life forever. She married Vaughn October 9th 1954 and moved to a small town in Maine, where Vaughn was part of a family trucking company (Coles Express). She spent her time raising her 3 daughters and taking care of the homestead. In 1967 they left Maine to pursue different adventures and found a wonderful life in Colorado. Even more than her family Gloria loved Jesus and showed that with a real servants heart and was very involved in the church with Vaughn. She kept busy hosting missionary’s, friends and family. Her love language was cooking for all she cared for and was amazing at it; there was never a shortage of fun new recipes clipped on the counter for us all to try. In1990 they retired permanently to Florida and made Ormond Beach their forever home. Gloria Loved being on the water even though to her dismay was never able to swim. They made a full new life together with new friends and a new wonderful church that they loved and were very involved with but that never stopped them from enjoying their travels. Gloria was married to Vaughn for 62 years until he passed on March 10th 2016. She enjoyed her last years in Florida with her daughter Judi and many visits and trips to see her daughters Beth, Donna and their families.
