Margaret L. Barber, age 68, longtime resident of Eastpoint, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida. Born on November 5, 1956, in Crawfordville, Florida, Margaret spent many years working in the seafood industry as an oyster shucker before moving on to a career with Franklin County as an animal control officer. This was a role she truly cherished. Following her time in animal control, she retired from the Florida Department of Corrections, where she also dedicated many years of her life.

Margaret was known for her exceptional cooking skills and had a deep love for her animals, particularly her dogs and cats. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and held a special passion for gardening, boasting a remarkable green thumb for growing vegetables.

Margaret is survived by her loving children, Donna Moses, William "Bluejay" Shirley, Adam Creamer, Allen Creamer, and Sherrie Moses and husband Lonnie, all of Eastpoint, Florida. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lou Sampson of Eastpoint, Florida, and her brothers, Joseph Edward Roberts and wife Connie of Tallahassee, Florida, and Tommy and Tony Roberts, both of Sopchoppy, Florida. Furthermore, she leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Roberts and Ruby West Roberts; her two husbands, Jamie Creamer and Donald "Duck" Barber; her sister, Francis Sampson; and her brother, John Sampson.

Margaret was proud to attend the First Baptist Church in Eastpoint, where her spirit and love for family and community will be remembered by all who knew her.

A funeral service honoring Ms. Barber's life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Eastpoint. Burial will follow at Eastpoint Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
