Rose Boulanger Obituary
She is survived by her brother, Roland G. Boulanger and his wife Eileen of Fountain Hills, AZ. two nieces, Sandra Porzio and her husband Ralph of S. Grafton and Susan Boulanger of Northbridge; two nephews, Charles Boulanger of Northbridge and James Feeney in Florida; a great nephew, Alexander Blais; two great nieces Danielle Boulanger and Olivia Porzio .She was sister of the late Leo J. Boulanger, Doris M. Boulanger, Theresa Dawicki, Paul E. Boulanger, and Sylvia Boulanger, who died as an infant. She was also predeceased by two nephews, James Boulanger and Edward R. Dawicki. Born in Northbridge on January 30, 1937, Miss Boulanger was the daughter of Charles and Marie Rose (Lamontagne) Boulanger and lived in Grafton 16 years. Previously, she lived on Church Ave. in the Rockdale section of Northbridge.
Rose worked for the former Tupperware Company in Grafton and was employed as an Insurance Agent for Travellers Insurance Co. in Worcester, Seabury Smith Insurance in Westborough, and the Marsh and McClennan Insurance Agency. She retired in 2000. She was educated at the former St. Peter's Elementary School and Northbridge High School, Class of 1955. An active member of St. Peter's Church, Rose helped with their Bazaars, did collections counting, and served on their Bereavement Ministry. Feisty and strong-minded, she was generous and a caregiver at heart. Over the years, she cared for her parents, sister, and several friends. She enjoyed Hallmark movies, cross-country skiing and travelling, visiting places like Germany, Italy, Paris, Spain, and Bermuda. She was a gem to her family and will be deeply missed.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 17, with a Mass at 11 am in St. Peter's Church, 39 Church Ave. Northbridge. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held before her Mass from 9 to 10:30 am in Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville. Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Church, 39 Church Ave. Northbridge, MA 01534 or to St. Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
