Sandra Jean Allen, 71, of Jacksonville Texas passed away peacefully at home with her family on August 27, 2025. She was born on May 28, 1954, in Helena Montana, throughout her life she embodied compassion, strength, and devotion to her family.
Sandra dedicated much of her life to nursing, a calling that reflected her deep care for others. Her passion for helping and healing became a family legacy, carried forward proudly by two generations after her.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jenelle Rose of Missoula, Montana, Corrie (William) Martinez of Jacksonville, Texas, and Jaime (Chris) Trimble of Temecula, California; five grandchildren, Gabriel Rose, Dariene and Dakota Martinez, and Brody and Jaicob Trimble; and two great-grandchildren, Adelynn Martinez and Rowen Salinas. She is also survived by her sisters, Dena and Cindy, her brothers, Richard and Kenny and her stepmother Mona Rose all of Montana and Garth Allen of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Carson Martinez, and by her parents, Virginia Duncan and Meryl Rose.
Sandra's greatest joy was her family, especially the babies but her love extended beyond people. A lifelong animal lover, she cared for all creatures, though her dogs always held a special place in her heart.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the dedicated team at Heart to Heart Hospice in Palestine, whose compassion and commitment brought great comfort. Sandra shared a profound bond with Georgia Simmons, whom she considered her fourth daughter; the love between them was true family love. To hospice nurse Natalie Arington, the family is forever thankful for the exceptional care, knowledge, and kindness she gave. And to Chaplain Jeff Summers, whose visits and prayers brought peace and joy to Sandra, thank you for being such a source of strength.
Sandra will be remembered for her kindness and little bit of spice, her dedication, and the way she lifted up everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Sandra's life will be held in November 2025, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the love she gave so freely.
