Janis Teresa Smith

November 11, 1947 - July 15, 2025

Janis Teresa Smith (nee Reymann), 77, of Marmora, N.J., passed away on July 15, 2025 at home.

Janis was born in Ventnor, N.J., to Arthur and Anne Marie Reymann on November 11, 1947. She graduated from Holy Spirit High School in 1965. She was crowned Miss Longport the same year. Janis was a member of the Church of the Resurrection Choir, Masterworks Choir, Ventnor Skating Club and Ocean City Exchangettes. She even acted in several plays with her devoted husband.

Janis is survived by her husband, Robert L. Smith II; daughter, Christina Smith; stepdaughter, Laura Munro; sister, Constance Anne Reymann; brother, Christopher Reymann (Kim); sisters-in-law, Nancy Smith and Phyllis Smith; nephews, Jason Reymann, Brant Reymann and George Bender; nieces, Jennifer Reymann, Thea Kilkenny (Tyler), Kim Bender and Alison Sauter; and grandchildren, Shawn Ward (Isabelle) and Emily Ward. She was predeceased by her father, Arthur; mother, Anne Marie; brother, Arthur Reymann Jr.; sister-in-law, Sharon Reymann; and stepdaughter, Lisa Ward.

Visitation will be held at the Church of the Resurrection of Saint Maximilian Kolbe Parish at 200 West Tuckahoe Road, Marmora, N.J., on Saturday, July 19, 2025 (today) from 9 a.m. to 10:45, mass to follow at 11 a.m.
