AIKO KANESHIGE Obituary

AIKO KANESHIGE Aiko Kaneshige, 94, of Aiea, Hawaii, died in Honolulu on Friday, November 24, 2023. She was born on November 26, 1928 in Wailea, Hawaii to Ikutaro & Tami (Osaki) Ogawa. She grew up near Hakalau sugar cane plantations (Big Island). After graduating from Hilo High School, Aiko moved to Oahu & attended Phillips Commercial School. She was employed as a civilian at Pacific Air Forces & retired in 1996. She was married to Mitsuru Kaneshige for 36 years. Aiko loved being outside & was involved with her church, volunteer work and family life. She is survived by her three children, Alan Kaneshige, Tulsa, OK., Glen Kaneshige & Joan Ching, Bend, OR., her brother, Sadao Ogawa, six grandchildren & five great- grandchildren. A private celebration of life was held in February on the Big Island.
