Annie Lum Obituary

ANNIE YOUNG LUM Annie Young Lum, 91, passed away on January 27, 2024. A devoted wife, mother, Po Po, great grandmother, and co-founder/owner of Patty's Floral Designs, Annie will be remembered for her heartfelt smile, caring nature, quiet strength and laughter. A graduate of Farrington High School, Annie began her career as a teller at the Bank of Hawaii. She relocated to Inglewood, California for a few years after marrying her high school sweetheart. Upon returning to Honolulu, she raised their four children then worked part time at Waimalu Chop Suey and Asian Garden. In her "retirement", Annie, husband Wilfred, and daughter Patricia opened Patty's Floral Designs in Kaimuki. Long time customers will remember her warm greetings and enjoyment in helping them find the perfect floral bouquet. Annie enjoyed travelling to far away places with her husband and family. Their numerous travels took them to the mainland, Europe, Australia and Asia. Las Vegas was a semi-annual vacation destination for many years. Annie especially liked the crap tables where she could roll the dice with much success. She is survived by her husband Wilfred W.C. Lum; daughters Valarie Takata (Gregory), Carolyn Chin (Joe), Patricia Pang (Edwin); son Russell Lum (Stacy); grandchildren Brittney Lazo, Megan Takata, Aaron Chin, Alison Chin, Amanda Pang, Samantha Pang and Nicole Zhang; great grandson Logan Lazo; sister Constance Kop; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Diamond Head Mortuary. Visitation is from 10:00 A.M. and service begins at 11:00 A.M. Burial to follow at the Diamond Head Cemetery. Aloha attire.
