Elizabeth Mock Obituary

ELIZABETH BARRETT MOCK Elizabeth Mock (n?e Barrett), 66, passed away peacefully at home in Colorado on February 6, 2026, after a swift battle with cervical cancer. A beloved matriarch, she was defined by her extraordinary kindness, generosity, and grace. Born to the late Arthur Barrett Sr. and Pearl Barrett (n?e Kahanaoi), she grew up in Kalihi with siblings Cherie Silva, Arthur Barrett Jr., Lisa-Lee Branco, Shane Richardson, and Toma Barrett. A 1977 Farrington graduate and procurement specialist, she worked on the Kaho'olawe island cleanup with Parsons-UXB, a project she held dear as a proud Kanaka Maoli. Elizabeth is survived by her children: Cori-Ann Barrett, Cheraine Barrett, and Janet Mock (the author and TV producer); sons Chad Mock (former UH wide receiver) and Jeffrey Curtis Jr.; plus 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Her transition was held in the circle of her five siblings, five children, grand- children and her beloved Frenchie, Kalea a testament to the unwavering family bond she spent her life building.
