Betty Nishikawa Obituary

BETTY KIMIYE NISHIKAWA May 9, 1932 - November 10, 2025 Betty Kimiye Nishikawa, 92, passed away on November 10, 2025 at Castle Hospital. She was the eldest of four children born to Shotaro and Yasuko Uyeda. She attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School and the University of Hawaii with a degree in Home Economics and then later as an Elementary School Teacher. She retired from Benjamin Parker Elementary School in Kaneohe after 40 years. Her latest "passion" was traveling with her niece, Anne, and husband, Randy, to Japan and Las Vegas - all on a wheel-chair! Betty was married to Yoshio Nishikawa (predeceased); and had sons Greg and Tod (also both predeceased). She is survived by her sister Charlotte Shinkawa and brother Alex (Bette) Uyeda; nieces Vey (Darryl) Okutsu, Deri (Kyle) Arakaki, and Jana Uyeda.
