Stephen Kuna Obituary

STEPHEN ERNEST KUNA Stephen Ernest Kuna, 82, of Kailua, passed away March 10, 2026. A graduate of St. Louis High School (1962), he attended the University of Hawai'i and later earned a J.D. from Howard University. He was a U.S. Army veteran. During the Hawaiian Renaissance, he worked with the DHHL and served as Chief Aide at the 1978 Hawai'i Constitutional Convention, contributing to efforts that led to the creation of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs. He later served as OHA's first land manager. He is survived by his sons, sister, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
