CLIVE PETERS Obituary

CLIVE K. PETERS JUNE 29, 1949 MAY 21, 2023 On May 21, 2023, Clive Kapele Ah Kong Peters left us to join his parents and other loved ones who have gone before him. His passing marks the end of his long and painful battle with bone cancer and COPD. Clive was born on June 29, 1949, to Henry H. Peters and Bernice Y.H. (Yim) Peters and spent his young years in the family home on Kahanu Street in Kalihi Kai. After graduating from Farrington High School (Class of 1967), Clive worked at the Naval Shipyard at Pearl Harbor as a pipefitter apprentice and later transferred to the Naval Shipyard at Long Beach, CA where he worked as a mechanical engineer technician. After retiring from the shipyard, Clive spent a lot of time on the golf course, eventually moving to Indio, CA, to live in and be part of a golf course community. Clive leaves behind Maxine, his wife of 44 years, and his son Brandon (Big Bear City, CA). He was predeceased by his parents and sister Junice A.K. Montero (Roger) and his half-siblings Heine N. Peters (Keiko) and Heila H. Wallace (Henry deceased). He is survived by his brothers Henry H. Peters, Jr. (Carolyn deceased) and Jacob K.A.T. Peters and his sisters Stephany C.M. Peters and Caroline Peters Belsom (Jack). Clive will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews as well as several cousins, all of whom will miss him tremendously. The family will plan a memorial service for Clive to be held later this year.
