Dennis Honda Obituary

DENNIS MITSUGI HONDA 70, of Wahiawa, Hawaii, passed away April 11, 2023, in Los Angeles. Born on June 18, 1952, he was the second son of Haruo and Josephine Honda. A 1970 graduate of Leilehua High School, he attended Church College of Hawaii and the University of Hawaii at Manoa. An avid Warrior football fan, he enjoyed going to the games and tailgating with friends. Dennis was also very active in community affairs. He was the third-generation maker of Honda Tofu for thirty years until the closing of the family business in 2015. In 2016, Dennis started a new career in the City and County Parks and Recreation division as a park aide for the Peoples' Open Market program. He is survived by his wife Dulcie and daughter, Traci Ann (Erik); his mother, Josephine S. Honda; brothers: Victor (Loraine), Leslie (Sandra) and Neal (Enid) as well as many cousins and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Haruo and sister, Karen. He was well-loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. at La Pietra - Hawaii School for Girls. Aloha Attire. Family requests no flowers. Valet parking provided.
