Firstly, my sincere condolences on the death of Douglas which I have just read about. Douglas and I were first cousins. His father, Henry Philpotts, was the 4th eldest child of a family of 10 of whom my mother, Maud Philpotts, was the 9th. I met Uncle Henry and Aunty Nettie on several visits to Aberdeen and Douglas came to stay with us in Sussex when he was about 20. My elder cousin, Pamela, and I are possibly the only two
surviving grandchildren of William Philpotts and Mary-Ann Sherlock. I would very much like to contact Douglas's children or grandchildren.
