Eleanor Yep Obituary

ELEANOR LOUI YEP Eleanor Yuk Yee Loui Yep born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Albert Yew and Flora Moy Loui lived a full and meaningful 103 years. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, Canon's Business College, and attended Mun Lun Chinese School for 12 years. She had an extensive knowledge of the Chinese language, values, culture and traditions which she imparted to family and friends. She was a competitive and skilled mahjong player. She traveled to five continents and all fifty states. Eleanor also served as the first female president of the Honolulu Chinatown Lions Club. Eleanor will be fondly remembered for her kind and giving nature, her deep love for family, and the unwavering value she placed on honesty. She was predeceased by her husband Henry P. Yep, son Russell and daughter in-law, Lauren. Eleanor is survived by her daughter Rosalind Mau, son Reynold Yep (Anna), daughter- in-law, Susan Yep, and sister- in-law Vivian Loui. Her grandchildren are Carisa Ko (Karl), Alika Mau (Tanya), Kekoa Mau (Teri), Derek Yep (Tennille), Nicholas, Matthew, and Nikki Yep. Eleanor has seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be on May 16, 2024 at Nuuanu Mortuary, 2233 Nuuanu Ave, Honolulu, Hawaii. Visitation at 10:00 AM and services at 11:00 AM. No flowers.
