FLORENCE HANAOKA KITAMURA Florence Hanaoka Kitamura of Manoa, HI, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, at the age of 93. In her final days, she was lovingly surrounded by her family. Florence was born on February 25, 1931, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She married Henry Kitamura. They enjoyed spending time together and traveling. She enjoyed gardening and had a love for animals. Florence worked for the State Family Court. Florence's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an active member of the Moanalua Gardens Missionary Church, where she participated in the Caleb Years Senior Ministry. The church was her second family. Florence was predeceased by husband, Henry. She is survived by her children: Ken Kitamura (Maria), Fran Fong (Kent), Sandra Murakami (Guy), and Ivy Kitamura, and 8 grand- children and 2 great-grandchildren. Florence's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith. Her warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She was known for her kindness and compassion towards others. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends.
