Dear Carol and Family,
Robin was our treasured cousin with a warm, ready smile and a soft, kindly word for everyone - a gentle giant. The photo shows (seated, r to l) Aunty Takiko, Aunty Becky, Robin's mom Aunty Florence, (standing, r to l) Aunty Harriet, my mom Katherine, Uncle Mike, and Cousin Jean. Aunty Takiko would always tell us whenever she met Robin by chance and he would greet her with a smile and say softly "Hello, Aunty." Meeting Robin never failed to touch her. Besides my memory of welcoming Robin with Uncle Bill and Aunty Florence as he returned from Korea, another childhood memory said a lot about Robin: On a visit to Uncle Bill in Robin's absence, Uncle's cat caught a mouse. Uncle said that if Robin had been there, he would have made the cat release its prey. We join in mourning your great loss, Carol and family, Binky and Deanie, but know that wonderful memories of Robin comfort you.

Much aloha from Ruby, Bob and Alec MacDonald
