George Williams Obituary

GEORGE E. WILLIAMS, JR. George Edward Williams, Jr., age 80, passed away on June 29, 2025, while visiting family in Lansing, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his son, Tyler K. Williams. He is survived by his wife, Mylabeth (Cockett) Williams; son Stuart Williams (Ann); stepson Stason Rodrigues (Sheryl); grandchildren Koa Williams, Bella Williams, Cody Rodrigues, and Ryker Rodrigues; and sisters Dora Irvine and Martha Stokes. George lived a rich and spirited life, marked by challenges, adventures, and resilience. A proud graduate of Roosevelt High School (1964), he went on to serve his community with distinction, retiring from the Honolulu Police Department in 1985. He also worked at the Board of Water Supply, and led Hana Security Services, fulfilling military contracts nationwide. A lifelong sports enthusiast, George played football in high school and at Brigham Young University. He inspired many as a coach, mentor, and teammate. He was a proud lifetime member of the YMCA and could often be found enjoying a round of golf on the weekends. Above all, George was deeply committed to his family, loyal to his friends, and generous with his time and wisdom. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the stories he leaves behind. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Tech Park Center, 400 Kahelu Ave, Mililani, HI 96789. -Visitation: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM -Celebration & Fellowship: 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM Aloha attire encouraged.
