Harry Miura Obituary

HARRY J. MIURA Harry J. Miura, 95, passed away at home on December 8, 2025. Affectionately nicknamed, Charlie Brown, because of his gentle-hearted personality and antics, he was fiercely loyal to family and friends and enjoyed laughing even when often being teased. Many did not know he received the Milk Industry's Pasteur Award for Outstanding Heroism after rescuing a young girl on his Waianae milk delivery route for Dairymen's. When the company became Meadow Gold Dairies, he was the first Lani Moo, sweating in costume at the 50th State Fair on the McKinley High School grounds with our mother supporting him with water and towels. Never missing a day of work, he provided our family with strong work ethics and gave us priceless childhood memories: surfing, hiking and camping. His children, Cathy Suguitan (Selvestre), Michael (Faith), Mark (Cathy Kanehiro) miss him dearly, along with his grandchildren, Tracie Alexander, Tricia Miura, Sabrina Hunerberg, Luke Kanehiro and three great grandchildren. Dad is now resting with his wife Rose, son Patrick, and granddaughter Tammie. In keeping with his wishes, private services were held. Arrangements Provided By: Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary LLC

Aloha!
We knew Harry as Charlie Brown at the UH football games. We sat in the same section and he befriended my son and nephew and they became part of his "gang". He would shout it out to the whole section and I remember him rousing the crowds to cheers! Charlie Brown made going to football games fun, especially for two young boys who looked forward to the treats and Toys he would bring for them every game!!
I still have the Christmas card he sent to my son with a touching note which I will include. He was a special kind person who touched our hearts and was never forgotten. May he rest in peace. Me ke aloha pumehana.
