Jane Boynton Obituary

JANE LEE SIGWALT BOYNTON Jane passed over the Aloha Rainbow April 1, 2024, at the age of 95 (1928-2024) while a 7 year resident of the Pohai Nani Care Center, Kaneohe, Hawaii. She married Hadley Harcourt Boynton (deceased). Her parents, Henry Casper Sigwalt and Laura Freida Heiland are both deceased. She is survived by sisters Janet Ethel Sandretti (Bob Karski) of Milwaukee, WI, and Joanne Marie McCarthy of Forsyth, IL (spouse deceased). Jane's step-daughters Cynthia Lee Schoenhardt and Kathleen Ann Boynton Jones reside in Arizona. Her cousin Judith Sebby (Jim) lives in Kansas. Jane graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign, with a BA degree. She taught 7th grade at Kamehameha School on Oahu. Later, she had a long career with United Airlines as a Customer Service Representative retiring in Honolulu. The family thanks St. Francis Hospice for their attention during her last few days and the Pohai Nani Care Center staff for giving her 7+ years of the best care and comfort. Jane supported and in some cases volunteered at the Honolulu Symphony, Hawaii Opera, Honolulu Art Academy, Bishop Musuem, UH Foundation and the Hawaii Community Foundation. No services are planned.
