John Takada Obituary

JOHN TAKADA John Taro Takada, 70 years, of Honolulu, passed away on July 3, 2024. He was born in Germany. He is a proud graduate of Roosevelt High school, class of 1971. He had retired from Sherton Waikiki Hotel and worked at Tony Roma's Waikiki. He is survived by his sibling Ernest (Christina) Weicker, nieces Wendy Weicker and Loretta (Herman) Monico, nephew Michael (Gabriella) Fend, grandnephews Branson (Leslie) Monico and Javon Monico (Krisa Kapehe). He was predeceased by parents Bob Takada Sr. and Susanna Takada Turner and siblings Robert Takada Jr., Hannelore Fend and husband Kurt Fend. John loved and enjoyed surfing on the south shores of Oahu. During his surfing years, he had collected many surfboards over the years. A service, celebrating the life of John, will be held at Mililani Mortuary Downtown Chapel 20 S. Kukui St. Honolulu, HI 96813, on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Visitation from 9:30 am. Services from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Lunch to follow. Spreading of the ashes will be at Ala Moana "Bowls", Magic Island at 1pm.
