LAURA PANG Obituary

LAURA SHIN OI WONG PANG Laura Wong Pang, 96, passed away on August 16, 2024 in Honolulu, HI. Laura was born on July 13, 1928 in Honolulu to Lau Wong & Lo Sen Chang Wong. She married Wilfred Pang in 1950. Laura went to Royal Elementary, R.L. Stevenson Intermediate, and graduated from Roosevelt High School. For many years, she worked at Ft. Shafter and lived in the Moanalua area, where she was active with the Moanalua Seniors Club. She enjoyed playing golf, fishing and dancing with her husband of 64 years, Wilfred Pang. She is survived by sons, Gerald (Valerie), Stephen (Cynthia), Kevin (Grace) and daughter, Melanie (Andrew) Ah New; grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew (Kari), Ryan, Jonelle (Mark) Broaddus, Keala Ah New, Alika (Ting) Ah New; 6 great-grandchildren; her sister Lucille Hee and is preceded in death by siblings Tuk, Ruth Ching, Henry, and Robert. She will live on through memories of all who have shared in her life. Memorial services will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park on January 10, 2025 with visitation from 10:00 a.m., service at 10:30 followed by a reception at 11:30. Inurnment will occur at Punchbowl Cemetery on January 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Casual attire. Family requests no flowers.
