Lorraine Alameida Obituary

LORRAINE LOUISE ALAMEIDA Lorraine Louise Alameida passed away peacefully at the glorious age of 95 on January 26, 2024. Born in Honolulu on December 11, 1928 to Joseph and Mary Henriques, Lorraine attended Sacred Hearts Academy and married her high school sweetheart Bill Alameida. Lorraine and Bill traveled the globe, raising four children while Bill was in the Air Force. They settled in Hawaii Kai in 1962 in the very same home she bid us her final Aloha. Lorraine was a pioneer in Hawaii's real estate industry, launching her career in 1968 and achieving the status of Realtor Emeritus after a successful 40-year career. A high achiever, Lorraine always put her clients first. A working Mom, Lorraine was always busy writing up contracts, showing properties and balancing her family life. Lorraine loved to cook, always making sure there was a home-cooked dinner waiting for her children when they got home each night. Her love of cooking elevated food in the Alameida household to near "chef status" and inspired her children to master cooking as well. Lorraine is predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, Bill Alameida, daughters Rosalyn Van Zyle and Darlene Strickland. Lorraine is survived by her daughter Pamela Princenthal, her son William Alameida Jr., four grandchildren; Joshua Strickland, Dustin Salsido, Jamie Burch, Lindsay Correa, and six great-grandchildren; Alia, Rockwell, Lennon, McKenzie, Ka'eo and Emme. Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church at 11am on February 20, 2024, with burial to follow at 2pm at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Arrangements Provided By: Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary LLC
