Mark Fernandez Obituary

MARK MAIO FERNANDEZ 66, of Kailua, passed away at Castle Medical Center on April 20, 2024. He is a proud graduate of Hawaii School for the Deaf and Blind, class of 1978. He was a lifelong resident of Kailua. He was born in Honolulu. He was a long-time member of Kailua Canoe Club which was his passion and a classroom cleaner at Kalaheo High School which he cherished. He is survived by his twin brother Wayne, sister-in-law Teri, nephew Aaron, nieces Anjelica and Andrea who he lived with. There is a deep love and a strong irreplaceable family bond. He was the big brother of the family. He is also survived by brother Greg, Gary and sisters Geri, Donna and Gail. He was known in Kailua, and everyone was his 'FRIEND." He always flashed the shaka to everyone and he had a heart of gold. He would ride his bike around the town or catch the bus around the island on his many adventures. Visitation 9:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Kailua Beach Park across Buzz's Steakhouse at the Kailua Canoe Club site. Service at 10:30 a.m. followed by scattering of ashes. Casual attire.
